TWO -YEAR TRANSFER OPTION
Students have taken advantage of Covenant’s programs and also obtained specialized nursing training in a variety of ways that don’t involve the formal dual degree programs described above.  Some students have completed a prescribed two year pre-nursing program at Covenant and received an AA degree from Covenant. This program includes the basic courses that students would take the first two years of most 4 year Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs. These students then transfer to various BSN programs. Covenant has a formal transfer agreement with the School of Nursing at Emory University in Atlanta GA and with Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL so that students successfully transferring to these schools enter as full juniors. Student have also transferred to other BSN programs, some with full junior status, others with additional courses required to attain junior transfers depending on the requirements of the particular receiving school.  In addition some students decide to complete a four year degree at Covenant in biology or psychology, for example, and then after graduation from Covenant  begin work toward a BSN or an MSN.
